Dear Hilton Residents
HILTON AC PIPELINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT!
Work continues on this project, into Zone 5 which covers Celtis Rd and part of Cuckoo Lane. Fliers were distributed on Friday 8th and Monday 18th of July. These will give contact numbers and duration. Copies of the plans of all Zones and the Z5 plan are displayed on the HRA notice board at the Quarry centre.
Winterskloof is a watershed and sensitive area, and an A46 page Environmental Management Program (EMPr) was drawn up in September 2014 by EnviroPro dealing with all environmental issues including sensitive stream and water course crossings and how these should be dealt with. The EMPr is available for perusal at the contractor’s office at 5 Quarry Road.
We have noticed a number of complaints on the Hilton Chat FB site about issues relating to the new meters, excessive water consumption, etc. If you are experiencing difficulties, please send a detailed email to Colin Johnston (firstname.lastname@example.org) or HeatherMorkel (email@example.com) for assistance.

Learning about this process will be useful for other developments too – not just fracking. Latest post on our blog explains things too: http://frackfreesa.org.za/index.php/2016/07/07/eias-made-easy/ If you haven’t already, please subscribe to the blog so that you receive updates right in your inbox.
