Fibre Optic CablesWe’re sure you’ve seen the fibre rollout activity already taking place in Hilton and are looking forward to getting connected! We’re equally sure you have as many queries and concerns as we do. We have been Metrofibre Networks (MFN) is the Network Operator who owns, manages and maintains the network in Hilton. Cyanwood are the turnkey contractors and the team you see trenching along the sides of the roads. They are also the contractors who will be installing into the complexes, estates and office parks. Acquivate’s role is to assist both the estate / complex and Metrofibre / Cyanwood in reaching a point where it becomes feasible for the installation of the fibre network and to then facilitate the installation of the network and the ongoing uptake upon which the business case is predicated, generally referred to as Site Acquisition and Uptake. To this end, Acquivate have agreements with several ISPs to assist with orders and account management. Installation into complexes / estates is at no charge to the Body Corporate or Homeowners Association. In addition, MFN are also offering to install into the individual units at no cost during the project, even if you don’t order! MFN will also be offering free Home-drops to the Free-Standing homes as the phases roll out. Please register with Acquivate to be kept in the loop. The project timeframes are still quite fluid but we understand that the project is progressing well. Once the core routes are completed and the local POP is live the home-drops will commence with service activations following shortly after. Acquivate are working closely with MFN on this and will advise phases, The MFN network is Open Access which means multiple Internet Service Providers are available. You can Acquivate advise that several local ISPs, most notably iUncapped, Bundunet an Edelnet, are in the process of onboarding with Metrofibre and will make their packages known in due course. We strongly suggest that you register your interest via Acquivate at: They will add you to the distribution list and keep you updated as things develop.
